It has been a long ride, this book. With many ups and too many downs, The Lucknow Residency, A Story of 1857 has finally been published.
I was approached earlier this year by the adventurous gentlemen at Barnthorn Publishing who saw potential in a guidebook, one that deals with a subject that is responsible for this very site, the Lucknow Residency.
The book will take you on a journey back to 1857. The people who were there, the bravery and the misery, a chance to see the Residency as one has never seen it before. I hope, with this humble effort, I can give visitors the chance to experience a forgotten world, open the doors to the past and as they enter the Bailey Guard Gate for the first time, stride their own path into 1857.
Welcome to the Lucknow Residency.
Shame they don’t ship to Australia.

Thank you!
The book is available over Amazon in Europe but shipping to the States should not be a problem.

A well-deserved congratulation, for your effort to bring to our attention what is rarely mention in the annals of the colonial histories.

Thank you! I hope I can continue bringing new tales to light, and I hope the book will bring a little bit of help to people visiting the Residency.
